What's the role?
Join our team as a Catering Assistant in Ballarat, supporting day-to-day catering operations across food preparation and service.
This is a great opportunity for someone looking for consistent hours and a part-time role with the opportunity to work up to 38 hours per week.
Part time, minimum 30 hours per week, with up to 38 hours often available
Saturday & Sunday: 6:30am - 2:30pm
Weekday shifts generally between 6:00am - 3:00pm
Assist with food preparation and catering service
Support kitchen and front-of-house operations
Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards
Work as part of a supportive team
Key responsibilities
Assist with food preparation, including basic meal and sandwich preparation
Support catering and food service operations
Maintain clean, hygienic and organised food preparation areas
Follow food safety, hygiene and workplace procedures
Work collaboratively with the wider team to deliver quality service
About you
Previous hospitality, catering or food service experience
Flexible and comfortable working across a range of shifts
Reliable, organised and able to work at pace
Strong customer service and communication skills
A positive, team-focused attitude
To be successful, you'll need:




Australian Citizenship or full Australian working rights (WHV cannot be accepted)
Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment medical and police check
Previous hospitality or catering experience
Ability to work a minimum of 30 hours per week
Availability to work Saturday and Sunday, 6:30am - 2:30pm
Flexibility to work weekday shifts generally between 6:00am - 3:00pm
Ideally, you will live in or around the Ballarat area
