The Role
Set along the stunning coastline of South Australia's Eyre Peninsula, Discovery Parks – Streaky Bay is a welcoming holiday destination offering a mix of cabins and caravan sites for travelling guests, families and long‐stay visitors.
The park features 34 cabins, 73 powered sites and 24 unpowered sites, operating as a friendly, community‐focused park with exciting future development opportunities planned.
As Assistant Park Manager, you'll play a vital hands‐on role supporting daily operations and stepping in as Manager‐in‐Charge when required.
This is a live‐in position suited to someone who enjoys variety, guest interaction and being actively involved across all areas of park operations.
From customer service and team leadership to grounds, housekeeping and compliance, you'll help ensure the park runs smoothly and guests enjoy a memorable stay
What You'll Be Doing
Support daily park operations and administrative tasks
Act in charge of the park during the Park Manager's absence
Deliver friendly, professional guest service and handle guest enquiries and issues
Lead and support staff, fostering a positive team workplace
Assist with grounds, maintenance and housekeeping tasks as required
Uphold safety, compliance and organisational standards
Participate in kids' activities and occasional evening/night activities
Manage after‐hours phone duties as rostered
Help ensure smooth operations across weekends and peak periods
What You'll Need
Experience in hospitality, tourism,
parks or accommodation (leadership experience highly regarded)
Strong customer service and communication skills
A hands‐on, proactive and solutions‐focused approach
Ability to work weekends and a rotating 5 days on / 2 days off roster
Willingness to live onsite and take after‐hours calls part of the week
Comfortable working across operational, administrative and practical tasks
A valid driver's licence
