About the Role
You are a suitably qualified,
experienced
and highly motivated Anaesthetic/PACU nurse who is
seeking
a challenging and rewarding opportunity to become part of our dynamic team.
Under the guidance of the Nurse Unit Manager or Associate Nurse Unit Manager,
you
will
be responsible for
the delivery of expert clinical care
in the peri-anaesthetic environment
.
We
are able to
provide you with excellent educational opportunities across a broad range of specialities including Cardiothoracic, Vascular, Neurosurgery, ENT, Plastics, General, Urology and Orthopaedics.
Ability to work efficiently as a member of a multidisciplinary team
Demonstrate 'best practice' clinical skills within the Perioperative environment
Act as a clinical role model by providing the highest standard of direct patient care
Demonstrate sound clinical knowledge
in the area of
Perioperative Nursing (
Perianaesthesia
stream)
Accurately document patient care
in accordance with
hospital guidelines
Assists
in the achievement of ward / unit key performance indicators.
Classifications for this position will range from
YP3

YP9
($
86,580
- $107,510 base salary per annum pro rata).

You will also have:
A c
urrent
AHPRA registration
At least 12 months of current
clinical




experience in
A
naesthetic and
PACU
nursing
Postgraduate qualifications in Perioperative Nursing (Peri-anaesthesia stream), such as a Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma, are desirable
A valid Nationally Coordinated Criminal History check, or willing to obtain

About St Vincent's Operating Suite
St Vincent's Operating Suite currently houses 12 theatres, 12 anaesthetic rooms and a Post Anaesthetic Care
Unit
(PACU).
Working alongside the Sterile Processing Centre, Day Procedures,
Cath Lab and Endoscopy Centres,
t
he department undertakes over
13
,000 procedures per year in a vast range of highly specialised and complex specialities over a
24 hour
period, 7 days per week.
