About the role
We are seeking an experiencedTransport/Logistics Managerto join Wallace International in a full-time capacity.
This is a strategic leadership position based inLytton, QLD ****, where you will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of our transport and logistics operations.
This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of goods throughout our supply chain, directly impacting our operational performance and customer satisfaction.
You will be responsible for managing a small team of drivers, maintaining vehicles, optimising routes, controlling costs, and maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations and safety standards.
Key responsibilities
Plan, coordinate and manage all transport and logistics operations to meet customer delivery requirements and schedules
Oversee fleet management, including vehicle maintenance schedules, driver assignments, and route optimisation
Manage and supervise transport and logistics team, including recruitment, training, performance management and staff development
Ensure compliance with all transport regulations, safety requirements and company policies
Maintain accurate records and reports on transport operations
Liaise with customers, suppliers and internal staff to coordinate logistics requirements and resolve issues
Maintain health and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all staff
What we're looking for
Experience in transport and logistics management in a warehousing, storage and distribution environment
Proven track record of successfully managing transport fleets and logistics teams
Strong knowledge of transport regulations, compliance requirements and safety standards
Excellent organisational and project management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively
Proficiency with logistics management systems and software, including warehouse management systems (WMS)



and transport management systems (TMS)
Strong leadership and people management capabilities with experience in staff supervision and development
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively across departments
Demonstrated cost control and budget management experience
Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and implementing operational improvements
Current driver's license HC/ MC is desirable
Tertiary qualification in logistics, supply chain management or transport is advantageous
