This role involves supporting a number of Participants with varying levels of disability and support needs within their own homes and out in the community. While this is not a traditional SIL house setting, many supports are similar in nature to SIL-style supports, with a strong focus on personal care, daily living assistance, routine-based support, and promoting independence within the Participant's home setting.
Key responsibilities
Personal care and daily living assistance
Community access and social support
Assisting Participants to attend appointments and activities
Domestic assistance and meal preparation
Medication prompting/administering (where applicable)
Supporting Participants to achieve their individual goals
Providing structured, routine-based supports within Participants' own homes
About you
Experience within Disability Support, SIL-style supports, Personal Care or similar highly regarded
A minimum of 12 months experience in disability support, aged care, or related fields is essential
Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, Community Services or similar preferred
Robust communication skills and confidence working independently
Proven initiative, dependability, and a practical, participant-focused approach to support work
Ability to adapt to Participants with varying support needs and behaviours
Current Driver's Licence
Reliable and insured vehicle
NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
Blue Card / Working with Children Check
Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
NDIS Orientation Module Certificate
Smartphone and basic technology skills for progress notes and reporting
Manual handling experience
Fine with Large dogs that live inside and outside the home
