About the role

We are seeking an experienced Casual Accountant to support the finance function at Dunlea Centre, working closely with the Business Manager. This is a hands-on role covering day-to-day accounting, reporting and compliance activity for the agency. Days and hours are flexible and can be negotiated with the right candidate.

Key responsibilities
Assist in the preparation and monitoring of financial budgets and forecasts
Support monthly reporting to the Business Manager, including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet and Cashflow results
Prepare accounts and supporting documentation for statutory audit
Maintain accounting records in accordance with the Corporations Act, and support timely lodgement of financial accounts with regulatory authorities including the ACNC and ATO
Process and oversee invoicing for clients, lessees and service recipients
Oversee payables input and processing
Monitor cash flow requirements
Provide financial analytical support to operational areas to assist decision-making
Liaise with external stakeholders including auditors, bankers and legal advisers as required.

About you
Proven experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role,



ideally within the not-for-profit or community services sector
MYOB experience viewed favorably
Sound understanding of accounts payable/receivable, month-end reporting and reconciliations
Familiarity with ACNC and ATO compliance requirements advantageous
High attention to detail and solid organisational skills
Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with finance and non-finance stakeholders
A current Working With Children Check (WWCC), or willingness to obtain one.
