A vacancy exists for a reliable, energetic, and enthusiastic person to be part of our team delivering bulk freight from our East Devonport depot located. This position involves delivering cartons and pallets, to both business & residential addresses. To be considered for this position, it is essential to hold a valid MEDIUM RIGID manual licence with a positive driving record, and also a forklift licence.

You must also have a solid geographical knowledge of Devonport and surrounding suburbs and be able to provide a National Police check. The role will also involve some regional deliveries out of our East Devonport depot.

An immediate start for the right person is on offer. Starting as casual, Mon to Fri, with an option to moving to full time permanent after completion of a successful probation period.

Please note - holding a car licence only is not sufficient for this role. Do not apply if you do not hold a MR licence.

This position reports to the Devonport Depot Supervisor and Manager. You need to be fit and healthy and will be required to pass a pre-employment medical. As a delivery driver, you are the front line of our business,



so being an effective communicator, being courteous and polite with customers as well as providing prompt service is vital to the success of this role.

The role includes but not limited to:
Delivery & collection of freight Monday to Friday
Use of scanners to the required standard
Manual sorting of freight
Loading and unloading of your assigned delivery vehicle
Conduct pre-vehicle checks each day
Maintain a standard of presentation, both personally & the vehicle
Undertake depot-based duties when required including sorting freight

Requirements:
MR licence, (C class licence is not suitable for this position)
Forklift licence
Physically fit as some heavy lifting is required
Good customer service skills
Valuable time management skills
Positive literacy skills
Compliant with WHS & company policies
Willing to undertake a pre-employment medical
Produce a current police check with a clean driving history
Experience in a similar role desirable
