We are seeking someone who sees the person before the diagnosis, values every individual’s unique life story, and is passionate about creating moments of joy, connection and belonging.

You will enrich the lives of people living with the early stages of Dementia, by designing and delivering person-centered group activities that promote joyful wellbeing, social interaction and mental stimulation.

Key responsibilities

· Deliver engaging, evidence-informed lifestyle and wellbeing group activities.

· Foster a warm, welcoming and inclusive workplace where every person feels valued, respected and empowered.

· Promote choice, independence, dignity and meaningful participation in all aspects of individual and group activities.

· Build genuine, trusting relationships with clients, families, carers and colleagues.

· Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to ongoing assessment and care planning

· Collaborate effectively with the Management Committee, to deliver high quality care and support





Skilled Experience required:

Essential

· Dementia care qualifications, including management and understanding of dementia behavioural symptoms.

· Hands on experience in planning and facilitating group and individual lifestyle dementia activities.

· Experience in working collaboratively with carers and families.

· Knowledge of person-centered dementia care principles and contemporary best practice.

· Nursing qualifications are an advantage, but not essential.

Permanent full time role 38 hours/week.
