Farm Hand - Mixed Livestock, Cropping & Hay

Location: Connen Hill Lucerne, Lake Bathurst, NSW
Position: Casual
Hours: Approximately 40 hours per week

About Us

Connen Hill is a family-owned mixed farming operation running cattle and sheep, with cropping and hay making.

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Farm Hand to join our team and assist with the day-to-day operations of the farm.

About the Role

This is a hands-on role offering variety across livestock, cropping, machinery operation, and general farm maintenance. No two days are the same, making it an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors and being part of a productive farming business.

Key Responsibilities
Handling of cattle and sheep
Fencing repairs and maintenance
General farm and property upkeep
Assisting with hay making activities
Operating farm machinery and equipment
Maintenance of machinery, yards, and infrastructure
Weed spraying
Supporting protected and efficient farm operations

About You

The successful applicant will:
Have previous farming or livestock experience (preferred)
Be reliable, hardworking, and self-motivated
Be able to work independently and as part of a team




Hold a current driver's licence and means of transport
Have positive communication skills and a positive attitude
Be physically fit and capable of working outdoors in varying weather conditions

Desirable Skills

The following would be highly regarded but are not essential:
Experience operating tractors and other farm machinery
Experience working with cattle and sheep
Basic mechanical skills
Chemical accreditation and/or other relevant tickets

Work Schedule
Monday to Friday
Typical hours: 7:30am to 5:00pm
Overtime may be required during busy periods such as hay making
