Role Description This is a full-time, in office Welder role based in Koolywurtie, SA. The Welder will fabricate, repair, and modify farm machinery and equipment, including rollers and other agricultural implements, using various welding techniques. Daily tasks include interpreting drawings or instructions, preparing and measuring materials, performing welds, and finishing components to required standards.
The role involves inspecting equipment for wear or damage,
performing repairs, and conducting quality checks to ensure protected and reliable operation. The Welder will work collaboratively with other team members, maintain a clean and protected workshop, and may assist with occasional field repairs on customer properties.
Qualifications
Strong proficiency in general Welding techniques and safe workshop practices.
Hands-on experience with Arc Welding and MIG Welding for fabrication and repair work.
Competence in TIG Welding for precision work and finer component fabrication.
Knowledge of Materials used in agricultural machinery, including steel types and their properties.
Relevant trade qualification or apprenticeship in welding, fabrication, or a related field.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and measurements accurately.
Good physical fitness and capability to work with heavy components and outdoor conditions as required.
Commitment to protected work practices, attention to detail, and consistent quality standards.
Previous experience in agricultural or heavy equipment fabrication and repair is highly beneficial.
