The Hub Preschool and Early Education Academy is seeking an experienced and values-driven Early Childhood professionalto lead as a Director at our Hub service in Waratah
n
We're a locally owned and locally led Early Education Provider, with six services across Newcastle and the Hunter.
n Our teams are backed by a hands-on group of humans who actually know the work. Specialists in Pedagogy, Operations, Training and Assessment, and Leadership.

This role is more than a "desk-bound" Director role.

As a Hub Director, you will:

Be supported by a dedicated operational team, including the Pedagogical Leader, Training Manager and both Compliance and Operations support

n
Overall position objective:
n
The Centre Director is responsible for the implementation of operational strategies and to support the service to meet quality and financial expectations.
n
Broadly, the role ensures the service is operating within industry and governmental standards and regulations and systems are in place to support compliance at all levels.
n
This includes:
n
Leading and supporting centre staff for the effective operations at the service;
n
Ensuring that the service is operating within industry and governmental standards and regulations;
n
Developing a culture of teamwork and cooperation with all center staff and other Hub team members;
n
Using autonomy and initiative to support best practice across all facets of operations.
n
Developing strong relationships with children and families supported by the service.
n
Implementing the policies and associated procedures of The Hub at all times.
n
Working with HO team and Directors across The Hub , towards continuous improvement in productivity and efficiency in all areas of The Hub.
n
Work in accordance with the requirements of the Children (Education and Care Services National Law Application) Bill ****, Education and Care Services National Regulations and the National Quality Standard for Early Education and Care.
n
Work in accordance with the Code of Ethics of the Early Childhood Australia.
n
We are seeking a degree qualified Early Childhood Teacher OR a Diploma qualified Candidate who has experience as a Nominated Supervisor.
n




Our successful candidate must be able to accept the role of Nominated Supervisor for an Early Education service.
n
Also :
n
A minimum of 3 years' experience in a leadership role in an Early Education service.
n
Comprehensive knowledge of the Regulatory requirements for Education and Care services.
n
Sound knowledge and implementation of the National Quality Framework.
n
Demonstrated ability to motivate, lead and manage staff including evaluating performance.
n
Demonstrated ability to formulate and implement policies and procedures.
n
Excellent written, verbal and negotiation skills.
n
The ability to communicate effectively with children, families and staff.
n
A Demonstrated understanding of:
n
Child Protection and Mandatory Reporting;
n
Workplace Health and Safety issues.
n
Working with Children Check verification number.
n
A current and valid driver's license.
n
Valid First Aid and CPR qualification
n
