About the Opportunity
We are currently seeking a confident and results-drivenSales & Marketing Internto join an innovative Australianfood-tech businessin Melbourne.
This is a hands-on opportunity for someone who wants to build practical Australian experience insales, business development, digital marketing and client acquisitionwhile working with a technology platform designed for the restaurant industry.
You will be directly involved in approaching restaurant owners, presenting the platform, generating new business opportunities and helping restaurants get successfully onboarded.
This is not a desk-only internship.
We are looking for someone who is confident getting out into the market, meeting business owners and building relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Visit restaurants across Wyndham and surrounding Melbourne suburbs
Approach restaurant owners and managers to introduce the company's digital platform
Present the platform and explain its benefits to prospective restaurant partners
Support restaurants through the onboarding process
Generate new leads through face-to-face visits, phone calls, email and social media
Follow up prospective restaurant partners and support conversion
Promote the mobile app through restaurants, QR codes, local events and community engagement
Help drive app downloads, customer registrations and first orders
Build and maintain strong relationships with restaurant partners
Track leads, onboarding activity and sales results
Support local sales and marketing campaigns
Who We're Looking For
We are particularly interested in candidates with aSales and/or Marketing backgroundwho are confident speaking directly with potential clients.




To succeed in this internship, you should have:
Previous exposure tosales, marketing, business development, hospitality or customer service
Confidence approaching restaurant owners face-to-face
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
A proactive and results-oriented attitude
Good follow-up and organisational skills
The ability to work independently and achieve agreed targets
Confidence using mobile apps and digital technology
Interest in startups, food-tech and digital platforms
A valid driver's licence and access to your own vehicle are highly desirable due to restaurant visits across Melbourne.
Experience within hospitality or Melbourne's multicultural restaurant sector will be highly regarded.
