Annual salary is $70,561 + 12% super

About the position
n
We are seeking applications for anEmploymentMentor to
provideindividualised
support, assistance and guidance to job seekers froma CALD background who are
addressing/overcoming
barriers toemployment. If successful, you will ensure that they gain suitableemployment opportunities within an appropriate time frame, and willnegotiate,
monitor and review the delivery of employment supportservices for clients. This involves the case management of acaseload of job seekers, reverse marketing candidates, job searchtraining and supporting employers as they take on candidates whoare from a CALD background.

n
Some case management or client liaison
experience,including
working with people who are Refugees and AsylumSeekers or are from a Culturally and Linguistically Diverse(CALD) background, and an understanding of the challenges theymay face
n
A current valid Driver Licence will be required for thisrole
n
A current Working With Children Check (Employee)
n
A working knowledge and understanding of employment supportservices, for clients from a CALD background or refugee andasylum seeker cohorts, and the challenges they face
n
Demonstrated knowledge of current labour market trends
n
Demonstrated record of success in placement of job seekersinto employment or experience in a similar role
n
Demonstrated ability to provide comprehensive job seekerassessment, identifying barriers to employment and
preparingindividual
career or job plans
n
Proven ability to motivate clients, and advocate andnegotiate on their behalf
n
Highly developed communication and
interpersonalskills
n
Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills toimplement innovative job seeker focused solutions to gainemployment
n
Solid time management, organisational and well developedcomputer skills
n
Demonstrated positive values of integrity,
reliability,teamwork
and professionalism consistent with the AMES Visionand demonstrated commitment to the quality and
continuousimprovement
principles
n
Ability to speak a second language will be highlyregarded
n
