n There are plenty of senior HVAC construction roles in the market. This one offers something a little different.
n My client is one of Australia's largest and most established HVAC contractors, with the project capability, internal resources and pipeline you would expect from a business operating at this level.
n They are looking for an experienced HVAC construction professional who can take a senior role within their major projects business, with a strong focus on project delivery, people leadership and developing high-performing teams.

This opportunity could suit either:
n
n
An experienced Major Projects Manager or Senior Project Manager ready to move quickly into Construction Management; or
n
An existing Construction Manager looking for a larger, well-resourced business with significant project scale and long-term opportunity.
n
n
For the right Senior Project Manager, there is a clear and relatively quick pathway into Construction Management.
n For an established Construction Manager, the attraction is the opportunity to lead people and projects within a major contractor offering strong internal support, major projects and an excellent forward workload.
n
The role
n Depending on your experience, you will take responsibility for either major project delivery or broader construction leadership across multiple projects.
n A significant part of the role will be people management - supporting,



mentoring and developing Project Managers and site teams while ensuring the business continues to deliver consistently robust project outcomes.
n Responsibilities will include:
n

Leading major commercial HVAC construction projects
n
Managing and developing Project Managers and site delivery teams
n
Mentoring staff and helping build capability across the construction team
n
Setting expectations, providing direction and holding teams accountable
n
Overseeing programme, commercial performance and project outcomes
n
Supporting Project Managers with commercial and operational decision-making
n
Building strong relationships with builders, consultants and key stakeholders
n
Ensuring appropriate project resources are in place
n
Maintaining high standards across safety, quality and delivery
n
Working closely with senior management across the wider business
n
n
Selection Criteria
n
You will have strong experience delivering large commercial HVAC construction projects and be comfortable taking responsibility for complex projects, teams and client relationships.
n Importantly, you will also be a strong people manager.
n
You will know how to get the best from Project Managers and site teams, provide support when required, set clear expectations and develop people rather than simply manage projects yourself.
n
You may already be operating as a Construction Manager, or you may be one of the stronger Senior Project Managers or Major Projects Managers in the market and ready to step into broader leadership.
n
Either way, this role is aimed at someone who wants to operate at the senior end of the HVAC construction market and have a genuine influence over both major project delivery and the people delivering those projects.
