Cafe All Rounder - Lovedale Cafe
Position Overview
The Café All-Rounder is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service while supporting the day-to-day operations of the café. This hands‐on role combines barista duties, food and beverage service, cleaning, and general café support to ensure a welcoming and efficient environment for patrons.
Only two minutes from Rydges Resort – Lovedale Café is perfect for planning your Hunter Valley adventure over barista‐made coffee or for a casual lunch. Lovedale Café is conveniently located in the Hunter Valley Visitor Information Centre just opposite the resort.
Located in the heart of Australia's premier wine region, situated across an enormous slice of pristine countryside. Rydges Resort Hunter Valley is a vibrant 419 room resort and an all‐encompassing destination for leisure, conferences, and unforgettable events.
Key Responsibilities
Provide friendly, professional, and efficient customer service.
Take customer orders and process transactions accurately.
Serve food and beverages to customers.
Run food from the kitchen to guests promptly and professionally.
Clear tables and maintain clean and presentable dining areas.
Assist with café opening and closing procedures.
Prepare and serve high‐quality coffee and hot beverages.
Operate espresso machines and coffee‐making equipment.
Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the coffee station.
Monitor stock levels and replenish supplies as required.
Wash dishes and maintain cleanliness of kitchen and service areas.
Clean and sanitise tables, benches, equipment, and workstations.




Sweep and mop floors throughout service periods and at the end of shifts.
Comply with food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety requirements.
Work collaboratively with café and kitchen team members.
Assist in maintaining a positive and productive team environment.
Support café operations during busy service periods and special events.
Availability in work schedule, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
Skills & Experience

Experience in a customer service or hospitality workplace.
Previous barista experience
Ability to work in a fast‐paced setting.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Reliable, punctual, and well‐presented.
Ability to perform cleaning and manual handling tasks.
Current NSW Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification.
Experience in a café, restaurant, or hospitality venue.
