About the Role n
We are seeking an experienced
Machinist / Fitter
to join our team at our Oxley workshop.
n
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled tradesperson who enjoys a variety of machining, fitting and repair work. You will work on precision components and assemblies across a diverse range of industries, including mining, transport, defence, manufacturing and energy.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Set up and operate conventional and CNC machine tools.
n
Perform precision machining, fitting, assembly and repair work.
n
Interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
n
Measure and inspect components to ensure they meet required tolerances and quality standards.
n
Assemble, fit and repair mechanical components and equipment.
n
Use precision measuring instruments, hand tools and workshop equipment safely and effectively.
n
Work closely with the workshop team to deliver jobs on time and to a high standard.
n
Maintain a clean, safe and organised work environment in accordance with WHS requirements.
n
n
This is a
full-time
position, working:
n
n
Monday to Thursday:
6:00 am – 3:30 pm
n
Friday:
Early finish
n
About You n
You will ideally have:
n
n
Trade qualification as a Fitter & Turner, Machinist, Mechanical Fitter or equivalent.
n
Experience operating conventional and/or CNC machining equipment.
n
Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
n
Experience with precision measuring equipment and quality inspection.
n
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
n
The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
n
A positive attitude and commitment to producing quality workmanship.
n
