About the role:
n
We're looking for a
casual Kitchen Hand
to join our team at
Northern Hospital (Epping).
n
The role:
n
n
Able to work 6:30am to 11:30am shifts.
n
Assisting with basic food preparation and plating of meals under direction.
n
Cleaning and sanitising kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas to maintain strict hygiene standards.
n
Washing dishes, trays, and crockery in line with infection prevention and control practices.
n
Supporting the set-up and dismantling of food service areas for meal periods.
n
Assisting Food Service Attendants and Menu Monitors to ensure meals are delivered on time and in good condition.
n
Following all safety guidelines to protect self, staff, and patients.

About you
n
n
Previous experience in a food services, catering,



or hospitality environment.
n
Knowledge of food hygiene, safe food handling, and HACCP standards.
n
Awareness of infection prevention and control procedures in a healthcare setting.
n
Experience in a hospital or clinical food service environment is
desired.
n
Understanding of dietary codes, nutritional requirements, and patient-centred meal delivery.
n
Completion of training in food safety or environmental hygiene.
n
Police Clearance, or ability to obtain, is
essential.
n
Evidence of immunisation for current influenza is
essential.
n
