Geotechnical Engineers and Engineering Geologists

Macquarie Geotechnical is a Geotechnical Consulting / Drilling & Construction Materials Testing company working on road, rail and mining infrastructure projects throughout Australia. We maintain a fleet of contemporary drill rigs, support equipment and tools that are at the forefront of the industry.

We are currently seeking Geotechnical Engineers and Engineering Geologists with 2-5 years' experience to join our team.
n
Responsibilities include:
n
n
Undertaking geotechnical investigations, consisting of drilling rig supervision and undertaking test pitting.
n
Geotechnical inspections consisting of proof roll, stripping and pile inspections.
n
Assisting with geophysical investigations, includes seismic refraction, magnetic surveys, electrical resistivity, downhole imagery ATV/ OTV.
n




Communicating and liaising effectively with colleagues, subcontractor, sub-consultants and clients.
n
Preparation of factual reports.
n
n
To be successful for the position youmust have the following experience:
n
n
Tertiary qualification in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering/ Engineering Geology.
n
Knowledge and experience using gINT and Holebase.
n
Understanding of AS**** requirements.
n
Minimum 2 years site investigation experience.
n
Ability to work within a team environment.
n
Strong written and verbal communication skills
n
Numerical, analytical and observation skills.
n
Ability to problem solve.
n
An interest in developing both technical and project management skills
