Our clients located in Cairns and Far North Queensland are looking for Marine Engine Mechanics/Small Engine Mechanics. Must be trade qualified and have relevant work experience.

Duties:
Servicing and repairing current and used outboard marine motors
Brand specific knowledge highly desirable - Yamaha
Diagnostics, dismantle and remove engine assemblies, fit-outs and ensuring engine is properly installed on boat.
Ensuring workshop safety maintaining a clean and tidy workstation.
Test drive boats to ensure they meet standards and repairs have been carried out correctly.
Perform services, test and adjust mechanical parts after being repaired
Completion of job card for all duties completed including warranty work
Complete engine rebuilds and installing and replacing of parts Including power heads, connectors and programming trolling and ECMs

Requirements:




Mechanical Trade Qualification(Outboard, Motorcycle, Small Engine or Automotive considered) preferably Certificate III in Marine Mechanical Technology.
Minimum 1 year experience is required.
Robust mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
A valid driver’s license and own tools are preferred
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Boat license or Will to Obtain
Understanding of Protected Work Practices

These are full time positions with remuneration of $75,000 - $95,000 per annum plus super, depending on experience. Immediate Start.
