Role scope
n
The Electrical Commissioning and Start Up Technician is responsible to deliver a high quality, consistent and competent service in accordance with project / company requirements, standards and procedures to support overall delivery of company goals and schedule. This role will be under general supervision to perform a variety of commissioning, troubleshooting and repair of various equipmen

Details / responsibilities
n
n
Ensure compliance with the site cardinal safety rules and with all safety aspects in the execution of work
n
Ensure procedures and permits are followed safely
n
Commissioning, troubleshooting and repair of MCC's, VSD's, Distribution Panels, Motors, Lighting and small power
n
Inspect, test, adjust and commission equipment to satisfy appropriate governing standards.
n
Work within OEM guidelines.
n
Demonstrate high-quality fault-finding skills and the ability to troubleshoot autonomously.
n
Observe and supervise Vendor staff working on or near the facilities as required.
n
Carry out Cause and Effect Testing
n
Attend system walkdowns
n
Complete rectification works as required
n
Close out Punch items
n
Liaise with other discipline teams to undertake commissioning and start-up activities safely.

About You:




n
Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a similar role, along with a Cert III in Electrical Craft and proven expertise. They will hold an EEHA Certification, possess a current First Aid Certificate and LV Rescue, and ideally have nationally accredited training in Working at Heights. A current Full or Restricted Queensland Electrical Licence is also required.
