Austek Roads (ACT) are seeking a casual Spray Seal Labourer to join our team in Hume, ACT.
n
What you'll be doing
n
n
Assist with the preparation and completion of bitumen spray sealing operations
n
Safe labouring duties may include but not limited to shovelling and raking, running wheelbarrow, safely positioning and unloading trucks for spray seal operations
n
Set out and retrieve traffic control signs, cones, and equipment as required.
n
Clean and maintain tools, equipment, and work areas
n
Assist with loading and unloading materials and equipment
n
Support the spray truck and aggregate spreading crews.
n
Follow direction of Crew leader, site foreperson, project manager and other senior managers
n
Adhere to all health, safety and environmental policies and procedures
n
n
What we're looking for
n
n
Current driver's licence and ability to obtain necessary construction certifications
n
White card
n
Silica and Asbestos awareness training
n
Demonstrated experience in Roadworks, desired
n




Proficient in the operation and maintenance of bitumen spraying equipment
n
Strong attention to detail and ability to achieve consistent, quality results
n
Good communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with the construction crew
n
Commitment to workplace health and safety
