Sydney Trains are currently going through a major capital investment program to support their strategic focus and reviewing ageing assets and improving reliability and performance across the network. As such, they are looking for multiple Civil Project Engineers to work on these upgrade projects.
Key Responsibilities
Manage a variety of construction projects on behalf of Sydney trains
Develop the Project Scopes with specific attention to site specific conditions, project integration and inter-disciplinary requirements.
Project control including tracking progress and actual expenditure; and required reporting.
As necessary, ensure effective contract management including developing Request for Proposal, managing tendering process, stakeholder management, contract administration, contractor performance management.
Develop plans and provide regular reports on performance. Provide regular project updates against agreed cost and schedule, reporting on project delays, risks/issues, project performance and status to relevant stakeholders as requested
Effective communication with customers, team members and internal/external stakeholders.

Key Requirements
Extensive experience working on similar type projects in Australia
Tertiary Qualifications in a relevant discipline (Civil)
A methodical approach, high attention to detail and take responsibility for the quality and accuracy of own work
Well-developed communication skills and a cooperative, team-oriented approach with the ability to foster interpersonal relationships across all levels
Minimum 3 days a week attendance at the Clyde Hub office to facilitate collaboration with project stakeholders and support project activities.
Required to work outside of normal hours, night shift, weekends and public holidays.
Possess current Class "C" driving licence.
Possess RIW card and TfNSW operator role.
