Job Description
We are Zenith are working closely with our client who are based in the North-East and are looking to recruit an Electrician on a permanent basis.

The Electrician will report directly to the Electrical Supervisor and work closely with them to organise workloads within their designated area.
n
The successful candidate will have a strong working knowledge of electrical systems and be responsible for carrying out installation, maintenance, fault-finding and diagnostic activities. This includes installing and maintaining electrical components, wiring and control systems while adhering to all relevant health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
Report to the Electrical Supervisor regarding workload planning and progress within the assigned area.
n
Install, maintain and test electrical components, wiring and control systems.
n
Diagnose and repair electrical faults, including fault-finding, rewiring and system testing.
n
Work closely with the Procurement and Design teams to ensure all materials and documentation are available to meet production schedules.
n
Communicate with Inspection to ensure work is completed to the required quality standards.
n
Take responsibility for wiring lights, isolators, invertors control panels, fans, electric coils etc
n




Liaise with Inspection regarding non-conformances, rework activities and corrective actions.
n
Support adherence to company processes, procedures and quality standards.
n
Carry out any other reasonable duties as required.

Skills & Experience – Essential
n
n
Solid knowledge of electrical installation practices and health & safety requirements.
n
Fully time-served with 18th Edition
n
Experience in fault-finding, diagnostics and electrical maintenance.
n
Good organisational and time management skills.
n
IT literate, with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
n
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
n
Ability to work effectively within a team and across departments.
n
n
Qualifications
n
n
Level 3 Qualification in Electrical Installation.
n
18th Edition Wiring Regulations Certificate. **** Preferred but not essential
n
HNC/HND in Mechanical, Electrical or Manufacturing Engineering desirable but not essential
n
n
Please note, this is not a Site Electrician's vacancy. It will be based within a Manufacturing Facility working on a Production Shop Floor Monday to Friday with an early finish every Friday.
