The Beechmont Hotel is looking for a Senior Sous Chef ready to step into a large format food and beverage operation! Feauturing one of Australia's largest Smoker's and a new, state of the art kitchen, The Beechmont Hotel is ready for a superstar to join and lead their kitchen team.
About the role
Reporting to the Head Chef and General Manager, you will play a key leadership role across a large kitchen team, staying hands-on and working the tools while overseeing day-to-day kitchen operations.
Role & Responsibilities
Staff rostering
Stock ordering and management
Managing food ordering via Cooking the Books platform
Leading and supporting a large kitchen brigade across smokehouse and main kitchen sections
Maintaining consistency and quality across a diverse menu
Working hands-on on the tools alongside the team
Flexibility to work days, nights, and weekends as required
38 hours per week, plus reasonsable additional hoursBe part of a large, energetic hotel F&B; operation on the Gold Coast
About you
Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Sous Chef, ideally in a large-format or high-volume venue
Strong rostering and stock management skills
Experience with food ordering/inventory platforms (Cooking the Books)
Ability to thrive in a quick-paced, large-team kitchen setting
Flexibility across days, nights, and weekends
Passion for diverse menus, including smokehouse-style cooking
