Location: North and North West Tasmania (Labor Members Offices)
Do you believe in fairness, chance, and making sure everycommunityhas a voice?
We are looking for up to two roles to work across the North and North West of Tasmania as part of the Labor Leaders Office to drive engagement, develop strategy and work with stakeholders and members.
These roles provide support and advice to the members of Bass, Braddon and Northen Lyons, ensuring members are supported and represented in their electorates, and that specific advice on these electorates is provided to the Leaders office.
Working under the supervision of the Chief of Staff and Senior Staff in the Leaders Office,
the roles require a high degree of initiative and strong communication and team work skills.
Knowledge and understanding of portfolio and policy of the members would also be an advantage.
Key skills and attributes include:
Understanding of key stakeholders and ability to nurture relationships with stakeholders
High level written skills in order to provide advice on current issues and portfolio matters
Political acumen and sound judgement
Strong sense of alignment of with Labor values and policy
Understanding of and experience working with media
