We are working with a well-established electrical contractor delivering major projects across
rail infrastructure, station upgrades, infrastructure and large-scale commercial D&C; projects
. With a strong pipeline of secured and upcoming work, they are looking to appoint a
Senior Electrical Estimator / Estimating Manager
to lead their estimating function.

To be successful in this position, you will ideally have: n
n
10+ years' experience within electrical estimating
n
Previous experience leading or overseeing 2-3 estimators
n
Strong electrical contracting background
n
Experience estimating rail infrastructure, station upgrades, infrastructure and/or large commercial D&C; projects
n
Strong understanding of electrical construction methodologies, scopes and project requirements
n
Proven ability to manage multiple tenders and competing deadlines
n
Strong commercial acumen and attention to detail
n
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
n
The confidence to liaise with senior management, clients and project teams
n




A hands-on approach with the ability to lead from the front
n
You will be responsible for: n
n
Leading and overseeing a team of 2-3 Electrical Estimators
n
Managing the end-to-end tender and estimating process
n
Reviewing and preparing detailed electrical tenders and pricing
n
Reviewing estimates, take-offs, scopes, subcontractor and supplier pricing
n
Ensuring tenders are commercially competitive and accurately priced
n
Providing guidance, mentoring and technical support to junior and intermediate estimators
n
Managing tender submissions and ensuring deadlines are met
n
Identifying project risks, exclusions, variations and commercial opportunities
n
Working closely with Project Managers, Directors, clients and key stakeholders
n
Attending tender interviews and client meetings where required
n
Contributing to estimating strategy and improving internal processes
n
Maintaining strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers and clients
n
Supporting the business with upcoming project opportunities and pipeline forecasting
n
n
This is a key position within the business, suited to an experienced estimator who enjoys being hands-on with tenders while also providing leadership, guidance and oversight to a small estimating team.
