Job Description
Purpose of the Role n
To support the organisation, achieve its strategic objectives by the identification of business requirements and solutions that address business problems and opportunities.
Accountabilities n
n
Identification and analysis of business problems and client requirements that require change within the organisation.
n
Development of business requirements that will address business problems and opportunities.
n
Collaboration with stakeholders to ensure that proposed solutions meet their needs and expectations.
n
Support the creation of business cases that justify investment in proposed solutions.
n
Conduct feasibility studies to determine the viability of proposed solutions.
n
Support the creation of reports on project progress to ensure proposed solutions are delivered on time and within budget.
n
Creation of operational design and process design to ensure that proposed solutions are delivered within the agreed scope.
n
Support change management activities, including development of a traceability matrix to ensure proposed solutions are successfully implemented and embedded in the organisation.

Collaborate closely with other functions/business divisions.

Consult on complex issues; provide advice to People Leaders to support the resolution of escalated issues.

Identify ways to mitigate risk and develop new
policies/procedures
in support of the control and governance agenda.
n
Take ownership for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work done.
n
Perform work closely related to other areas, which requires understanding of how areas coordinate and contribute to the achievement of the organisation sub-function objectives.

Collaborate with other areas of work, for business aligned support areas to keep up to speed with business activity and the business strategy.
n
Engage in complex analysis of data from multiple sources of information, internal and external.
n
Communicate complex information, including sensitive information, to diverse audiences.
n
Influence or convince stakeholders to achieve outcomes.
n

Support the communications between Group Control Data & Analytics team and the business, acting as a translator where necessary to convert Business Requirement to precise Data Requirements to support the needs of Data Products.

Qualifications n
n
Ability to extract Data Requirements and prepare Business Requirement Doc (BRD), Functional Requirement (FR), Non-Functional Requirement (NFR).
n
Excellent SQL skills with Data Warehousing and Data Lake understanding.
n
Understanding of Data Model, ETL Data Pipeline, Data Lineage.
n
Understanding of Data Products, business analysis techniques, including requirement gathering, documentation, function design and process flows.
n
Articulate your ideas, playing back the business needs in a language that can be easily understood while also articulating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
n
Ability to analyze large volumes of data and articulate findings.
n
Good understanding of SDLC and Agile Delivery processes.
n
Experience owning and managing Data Requirements from inception to sign-off.
n
Ability to perform Feasibility Assessment with high-level design thoughts and structured documentation.
n
Strong skills in risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking and digital and technology.
n
Location n
This role can be based in either Glasgow or Northampton.
