About the role

We're on the hunt for an experienced and passionate
Head Chef
to lead the kitchen at the ***** seat café and bistro in a renowned suburb of Sydney's Inner West. This is a unique chance for someone seeking full ownership and autonomy in the kitchen. If you love creating simple, fresh, and innovative dishes with high quality ingredients in the French tradition with a twist, this is the role for you!

Responsibilities

Design and execute menus that reflect the signature French bistro style with a twist.
n
Lead kitchen operations, ensuring efficiency, consistency, and high-quality standards.
n
Oversee stock control, food costs, and supplier relationships to maintain profitability.
n
Manage and mentor a small team, fostering a positive and professional work environment.
n
Ensure compliance with food safety and health regulations.
n
Work closely with the manager,



and front-of-house team to deliver a seamless dining experience.

About you
n
n
3-5 years of experience
in a Head Chef or senior kitchen role.
n
n
n
French or European culinary techniques -
no Michelin stars required, just great food!
n
n
n
Professional attitude with a
hands-on
approach.
n
n
n
Organised, clean, and efficient, able to thrive in a
small kitchen
.
n
n
n
Business-minded, with an understanding of
food and labour costs
.
n
n
n
Long tenure in past roles - this is for someone
committed to the industry
.

A team player who values
