About the role
n
We are looking for compassionate and motivated Community Mental Health Practitioners to join our Youth Residential Rehabilitation Service (YRRS) in Caboolture.
n
In this role, you will support young people aged ***** experiencing mental health challenges to achieve their personal recovery goals. You will provide person-centred and recovery-oriented support to help young people develop daily living skills, strengthen community connections and work towards their wellbeing goals.
n
24/7 rotating roster, including weekends, overnight shifts and sleepovers.

Key responsibilities

Support young people to return to their community,



live independently and enjoy a meaningful life through a staged approach to recovery.
n
Purposefully engage with young people using techniques including: Brief intervention, Motivational interviewing and coaching, Family inclusive practice, Trauma informed practice, Conflict resolution.
n
Plan and deliver group programs that aid young people to build their skills and focus on recovery.
n
Support family and carer roles through understanding their concerns and the provision of information, education and referrals.
n
Collaborate with a range of services and the community to ensure a co-ordinated, integrated response to people's recovery goals.

What you'll bring
n
n
A minimum Certificate IV in Mental Health (or a higher qualification in a related field).
n
Expertise in working with young people with mental health issues, complex needs and interacting with families and carers.
n
An understanding of recovery-oriented and trauma informed practice.
n
A current First Aid and CPR certification.
n
A Current Blue card and NDIS Workers Screening check.
n
A current Australian Driver's licence.
n
Ability to provide evidence of required vaccinations in accordance with Queensland Health partnership requirements.
