Full-Time Cook / Chef – Chef Wong Huntingdale

Chef Wong is looking for a
full-time Cook/Chef
to join our friendly and growing team at our Huntingdale restaurant.
n
We specialise in handmade Cantonese dim sum and casual yum cha, and we're looking for someone who is reliable, hardworking and enjoys being part of a busy kitchen team.
Experience in Cantonese cuisine or dim sum is NOT required. n
We will provide training in our recipes, cooking methods and kitchen systems.
About the Role n
This is a hands-on kitchen role where you'll be trained across different areas of the Chef Wong kitchen.
n
Your day-to-day work will include:
n
n
Preparing ingredients and food for service
n
Steaming, frying, stir-frying and baking
n
Cooking and serving dishes according to Chef Wong recipes
n
Following our established cooking procedures and portioning
n
Maintaining consistent food quality and presentation
n
Keeping your work area clean and organised
n
Following food safety and hygiene procedures
n
Working together with the kitchen and restaurant team
n
What We're Looking For n
We're looking for someone who:
n
n
Has previous experience working in a commercial kitchen
n
Is reliable and punctual
n
Can work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
n
Is willing to learn our cooking methods and systems
n
Can follow recipes and procedures consistently
n




Works well as part of a team
n
Has good communication skills
n
Has flexible availability, including weekends
n
n
Asian or Cantonese cooking experience is an advantage, but not essential.
n
More importantly, we're looking for someone with a
good attitude, strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
