Downer is seeking skilled Heavy Diesel Mechanics, Technicians, or Fitters to join our team in Mackay, QLD. This hybrid role offers the best of both worlds: workshop-based maintenance and the variety of field service. One day you'll be in the workshop, the next you'll be on site diagnosing faults and keeping projects moving.

Key Responsibilities /n

Service, repair, and maintain heavy plant machinery and trucks

/n
Diagnose and resolve breakdowns in the field

/n
Ensure all work meets Downer's high safety and operational standards

/n
Work collaboratively within a skilled team while also operating independently

/n

About You /n

/n
Trade qualification in Heavy Diesel Mechanics, Plant Mechanics, or Fitting (essential)

/n
Robust hydraulic knowledge and diagnostic skills

/n
Experience with mobile plant, trucks, and heavy equipment

/n
Auto electrical experience (highly regarded)

/n
HR and Forklift licences (desirable)

/n
A proactive approach and commitment to safety

/n
