Nurse Practitioner - Aged Care (1 day/week) -
Launceston n

Practise to your full scope as an endorsed Nurse Practitioner in aged care.

– Our in-house locum team provides clinical support outside business hours, ensuring continuity of care for residents while your personal time remains protected. There are no after-hours, on-call or weekend requirements.

The Role
n
Working across Residential Aged Care Homes in Launceston and surrounding areas, you will provide advanced assessment, diagnosis, prescribing, treatment and care planning for residents. You will work within a cooperative multidisciplinary model alongside on-site nurses, General Practitioners, telehealth Geriatricians and Physicians, with dedicated administrative and operational support so your focus remains on delivering high-quality clinical care.

What You'll Bring
n
n
Experience in aged care, gerontology, palliative care or chronic disease management is highly regarded
n
Advanced clinical experience in assessment, diagnosis, treatment, prescribing and health promotion
n
Strong clinical reasoning, communication and leadership capabilities
n
Experience in quality improvement and evidence-based practice
n
Sound knowledge of aged care legislation and regulatory requirements
n
Current driver's licence, reliable vehicle and appropriate professional indemnity insurance
n
Comfortable using technology and clinical software systems
n
n
Qualifications
n
n
Master of Nursing (Nurse Practitioner)
n
Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse with Nurse Practitioner endorsement
