Our client, Mustang Cottage Nepalese Indian Restaurant & Bar is looking for a skilled cook to join their team./n
/n

/nTasks and responsibilities:/n

/n•Assist in preparing and cooking a variety of authentic Indian and Nepalese dishes in accordance with established recipes and menu requirements./n
/n•Prepare authentic Indian and Nepalese dishes, cater to special dietary requirements, and train kitchen staff in traditional cooking techniques./n
/n•Monitor the quality, consistency, and presentation of all dishes before service./n
/n•Maintain high standards in flavour, ingredient selection, and plating to ensure fresh and quality meals./n
/n•Discuss and resolve any food preparation or service issues with the restaurant manager and other staff to prevent recurrence./n
/n•Oversee daily kitchen operations to ensure smooth coordination between the kitchen and dining area./n
/n•Conduct regular tastings and quality checks to ensure dishes meet the restaurant’s standards./n
/n•Manage kitchen costs by monitoring ingredient usage, reducing waste,



and controlling expenses./n
/n•Assist the Chef in maintaining an productive and well-organised kitchen./n
/n•Supervise purchasing of ingredients, equipment, and supplies while working within budget limits./n
/n•Ensure proper inventory management, secure handling, storage, and disposal of all food items./n
/n•Comply with all food safety and workplace health and safety regulations./n
/n•Maintain consistent food quality and service standards while considering customer feedback./n
/n
/nQualifications and other requirements/n
/n•Certificate III or equivalent in Hospitality or relevant field/n
/n•3 years of full time relevant experience working in a hospitality industry as a Cook /n
/n•Ability to lead and work effectively as part of team/n
/n•Ability to work independently and without supervision/n
/n•Ability work with flexible hours including weekends/n

/nSalary range: $75,000 to $85,000
