Chef de Partie — Island Radio

Island Radio is a contemporary Asian dining spot with venues in Redfern and Surry Hills, drawing on the food cultures of Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, and South East Asia.

/n

We’re looking for a Chef de Partie who knows their way around a busy section and wants to be part of something worth cooking for.

/n

What you’ll be doing

/n

/n
Cooking and plating dishes to spec, every service, every time

/n
Mentoring and guiding junior kitchen staff and setting the standard on your section

/n
Contributing ideas to menu development — we’re always evolving

/n
Keeping across stock and flagging what needs ordering

/n
Maintaining a clean, organised workstation (non-negotiable)

/n




Working closely with the Head Chef to keep service running smoothly

/n

What we’re looking for

/n

/n
Solid experience as a Chef de Partie in a high-volume kitchen

/n
A culinary qualification, or the experience to back it up

/n
Robust food safety and hygiene knowledge

/n
Calm under pressure, positive with people, and proud of your craft

/n
A genuine interest in Asian cuisines is a bonus, but not essential

/n
