Alice Springs, NT (Hospital Based)

Contracts:
4-12 weeks

Summary - About The Role
n
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Remote Area Nurses for short contracts to provide health care services to remote communities. The ideal candidate will be passionate about making a difference in underserved areas and capable of working autonomously and withing a dynamic team in challenging environments.

As a Registered Nurse, Your Responsibilities Will Include
n
n




Develop individualized care plans based on patients' needs, preferences, and goals, in collaboration with the patient, family, and healthcare team.
n
Provide skilled nursing interventions to patients in their homes, including wound care, medication administration, IV therapy, catheter care, and disease management.
n
Monitor patients' vital signs, symptoms, and response to treatment, and intervene as necessary to address acute or chronic health issues.
n
Inspecting wounds, changing dressings, and handling personal grooming and hygiene.
n
Testing for muscle weakness, bedsores, and any signs of infection.
n
Monitoring patient recovery and compiling reports for the physician.
n

What We Require From You
n
n
Bachelor of Nursing qualification (or equivalent) and current AHPRA registration
n
Minimum of 2 years working in remote or rural healthcare settings
n
Ability to work autonomously outside hospital environment
n
Evidence of prior service
n
Specific qualifications or Training for specialty area
n
National police certificate
n
A valid and up to date Ochre Card
n
Up to date vaccinations
