MAYDAY Recruitment is partnering with a respected organisation within the funeral services sector to recruit a Funeral Conductor / Arranger based in Wantirna.
n
This role is ideal for someone who is compassionate, highly organised, and service-driven, with the ability to support families through sensitive and meaningful moments while coordinating and conducting professional funeral services.
The Role n
As a Funeral Conductor / Arranger, you will work closely with families and the local team to arrange and conduct dignified funeral services. You will play a key role in ensuring services are delivered seamlessly while providing empathetic, skilled support to families during their time of need.
Key responsibilities include: n

Meeting with families to arrange and coordinate funeral services in line with their wishes
n
Conducting and overseeing funeral services with professionalism and respect
n
Providing exceptional customer service to families, clients, and internal stakeholders
n
Supporting day-to-day operations at the Wantirna location
n
Ensuring compliance with internal policies, procedures, and quality standards
n
Assisting with preparation, coordination, and service delivery as required
n
Contributing to a collaborative and respectful team environment
n
Supporting health, safety, and wellbeing standards in the workplace
n




Being willing to travel to local chapels and other branches to support service delivery and operational needs
n
About You Essential: n
n
Experience in a service-focused environment, or the ability to quickly learn
n
Current unrestricted driver's licence
n
Comfortable working in circumstances involving death, grief, and deceased persons
n
Strong communication skills with a calm, empathetic approach
n
High attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
n
Sensitivity and respect for diverse values, beliefs, and cultural practices
n
Physically and psychologically fit to manage manual handling, stress, and the inherent requirements of the role
n
Desirable: n
n
Exposure to or understanding of the funeral services industry, or willingness to learn
n
Background in hospitality, retail, community services, or a similar people-focused industry
n
