Job Description

The Casual Relief Teacher at St Andrews Christian College plays a vital role in supporting the learning and development of students. They are responsible for providing effective teaching and maintaining a positive learning environment in the absence of the regular classroom teacher. Priority will be given to applicants with 3 or more days available each week.

The main tasks and responsibilities include:

Delivering pre-prepared lesson plans and materials to ensure continuity of learning for students
n
Implementing effective classroom management strategies to create a safe and inclusive learning environment
n
Adhering to the school's policies and procedures while promoting the Christian ethos and values
n
Establishing positive relationships with students, staff, and parents to support the overall educational experience
n
Adapting teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and individual student needs
n




Participating in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge
n
Collaborating with colleagues to contribute to the overall success of the school community
n
Providing feedback on student progress and behavior to support ongoing assessment and reporting processes
n
n

Required experiences:

Prior experience in teaching or working with students, preferably in a school setting

Demonstrated ability to support diverse student needs and learning styles
n
Experience integrating faith-based principles into educational practice is an asset
n
