EL Workforce is recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established access hire equipment company based in Bayswater, to find an experienced and motivated Operations Manager.
n
This is a hands-on leadership position where you will take ownership of the day-to-day operations, ensuring the business runs efficiently, the fleet is maintained to a high standard, and customers receive exceptional service.
n
About the Role
n
As Operations Manager, you will play a key role in keeping the business moving. You'll oversee the daily operation of the hire fleet while coordinating scheduling, maintenance, staff and customers.
n
Your responsibilities will include:
n
n
Managing the day-to-day operations of the access hire business
n
Coordinating equipment deliveries, collections and scheduling
n
Managing fleet maintenance, servicing, inspections and repairs
n
Ensuring equipment is available, compliant and ready for hire
n
Managing and supporting the operations team
n
Building strong relationships with customers and ensuring excellent customer service
n
Handling customer enquiries and resolving issues efficiently
n
Coordinating with drivers, technicians, suppliers and customers
n
Improving operational processes,



efficiency and fleet utilisation
n
Monitoring equipment availability and turnaround times
n
Ensuring safety and compliance standards are maintained
n
Identifying opportunities to improve business performance and profitability
n
n
What We're Looking For
n
We're looking for someone who is organised, commercially minded and customer-focused, with strong operational experience.
n
You'll ideally have:
n
n
Experience in operations, fleet management, equipment hire, plant hire, logistics or a similar industry
n
Solid scheduling and organisational skills
n
Experience overseeing fleet maintenance and servicing
n
Excellent communication and customer service skills
n
Strong problem-solving abilities
n
Previous experience managing or leading a team
n
A hands-on approach and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
n
Commercial awareness and a focus on efficiency and profitability
n
A current driver's licence
n
n
