About the Role
We are seeking an experienced teacher to join the
Christian Studies
department as
Curriculum Leader Assistant.
The ability to teach Study of Religion, Philosophy and Reason, and Religion and Ethics will be highly regarded.
Working alongside the Curriculum Leader, you will teach across Years 7–12 and lead a defined area of the department's work, agreed with your Curriculum Leader annually. You will contribute to curriculum design and assessment quality, coach and support colleagues, and deputise for the Curriculum Leader when required.
This appointment carries a particular focus on pedagogy. You will co‐lead the department's thinking about how its subjects are taught. The position is the College's principal pathway into curriculum leadership. You will be mentored by your Curriculum Leader.

What You Bring
Current Queensland College of Teachers (QCT) Registration
Capacity to lead a team of teachers through coaching, support and collaboration
A demonstrated interest in pedagogy and in improving how a subject is taught
Ability to teach Study of Religion, Philosophy and Reason, and Religion and Ethics will be highly regarded
Sound curriculum, assessment and syllabus knowledge
Capacity to maintain systems and deadlines through assessment and reporting cycles
A robust sense of teamwork and collegiality
Discretion, integrity and sound judgement
Understanding of and demonstrable support for the College's Christian ethos

St Peters Lutheran College (Indooroopilly) is a P-12 coeducational day and boarding college of 2,250 students. The Lower Primary with Years Prep–4 has three classes at each level. The Upper Primary provides a program tailored to meet the needs of students in Years 5–6. St Peters Junior High offers Years 7-9 students a program to support young adolescents.
