Build Recruitment are looking for a skilled and reliable
Electrician
to join a busy reactive maintenance team delivering high-quality repairs within social housing properties across North Hertfordshire, including Luton, Welwyn Garden City, Stevenage, and Hitchin. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced electrician seeking long-term stability, great benefits, and consistent local work.
The Role n
You will carry out day-to-day electrical repairs and maintenance within occupied domestic and council properties. The role requires a strong focus on first-time fixes, customer satisfaction, and maintaining high standards of workmanship while working in tenants' homes.
Key Responsibilities n
n
Carrying out reactive electrical repairs, fault finding, testing, and maintenance within occupied social housing properties
n
Diagnosing electrical faults and delivering secure, effective, and long-lasting solutions
n




Undertaking repairs to lighting, sockets, switches, consumer units, extractor fans, and other domestic electrical systems
n
Ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in line with current regulations
n
Providing excellent customer service and maintaining professionalism at all times
n
Accurately completing job reports and required certification
n
Requirements n
n
Proven experience as an Electrician within domestic, social housing, or council property maintenance
n
NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
n
18th Edition Wiring Regulations (essential)
n
Testing and Inspection qualification ***** or equivalent) desirable
n
Full UK driving licence (essential)
n
Strong fault-finding skills and ability to work independently
n
Good communication and customer service skills
