Located 200km south-east of Geraldton, Western Australia, Karara is the largest mining operation and the first major magnetite mine in the Mid-West. It produces a premium, high-grade concentrate product for export to steelmakers.

nThe chance n
n
We are seeking multiple Electrical & Instrumentation Technicians to join our teams on site. You will be responsible for ongoing preventative and predictive maintenance with a focus on electrical and instrumentation assets in the plant to achieve site standards of efficiency, quality and safety.
n

n
This role operates on an 8 days on and 6 days off roster with the occasional ad hoc 7 nights on and 7 days off night shift.
n
n
nTo be successful in this role, you must have the following: n
n
n
n
WA "A" grade Electrical Licence
n
n
HV switching operations certificate
n
n
Cert III or IV Instrumentation (desirable)
n
n
A basic understanding of SAP maintenance systems (desirable)
n
n
A team player with a strong commitment to safety and quality
n
n
Demonstrated knowledge, experience and understanding of process plant equipment
n
n
National Police clearance
n
n
n
n
n
To be eligible to apply for this role you must be legally permitted to work permanently in Australia.

nKey responsibilities include but are not limited to: n
n
n
n
Perform daily maintenance activities for electrical and instrumentation systems on process equipment according to the maintenance plan.
n
n
Troubleshoot electrical components and control systems to identify the causes of failures, including collecting evidence for further analysis.
n
n
Install and maintain electrical infrastructure, ensuring its proper functionality and compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
n
n
Conduct statutory electrical inspections and testing, recording results in compliance with regulations and requirements.
n
n
Manage high-voltage switching and maintain high-voltage assets.
n
n
Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and performance.
n
n
Document maintenance activities, work order completions, and other relevant details accurately in the maintenance management system (SAP).
n
n
