Provide professional, friendly and compassionate front-desk service to patients and visitors.
n
Manage patient enquiries in person, via telephone and email in a timely and professional manner.
n
Coordinate patient appointments, cancellations, rescheduling and follow-up bookings.
n
Manage clinician diaries and ensure appointments are scheduled efficiently.
n
Process patient registrations, referrals, medical records and relevant documentation.
n
Process Medicare, private health and other patient billing requirements accurately.
n
Manage payments, receipts, account enquiries and outstanding balances where required.
n
Maintain accurate and confidential patient information in accordance with privacy requirements.
n
Liaise with doctors, nurses, allied health professionals, specialists and external healthcare providers.
n
Coordinate referrals, correspondence, pathology results and other clinical documentation as required.
n
Assist with the onboarding and training of current reception and administration staff.
n
Provide day-to-day support and guidance to junior reception staff.
n
Assist with managing reception workflows and ensuring administrative procedures are followed.
n
Monitor appointment schedules and help minimise delays and patient waiting times.
n
Handle patient concerns and complaints professionally, escalating matters to management when appropriate.
n
Maintain a clean, organised and welcoming reception and waiting area.
n
Assist with stock control, ordering and general practice administration.
n
Support the Practice Manager and clinical team with administrative tasks and operational requirements.
n
Ensure compliance with practice policies, procedures, confidentiality and workplace health and safety requirements
