Are you an experienced Housing Officer, Tenancy Manager or Property Manager looking to make a meaningful difference in the community housing sector? We are supporting our client, Churches of Christ to find a proactive and experienced Housing Officer to join their Housing Programs team. This is a predominantly office-based position in Ipswich or Kenmore, where you'll work closely with tenants and support staff while managing a diverse residential housing portfolio.

About the Role
n
Reporting to the Housing Coordinator, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of a community housing portfolio, including:
n
n
Managing tenancy allocations and eligibility assessments
n
Supporting tenants and resolving tenancy-related issues
n
Rent and arrears management
n
Managing anti-social behaviour and tenancy breaches
n
Conducting routine property inspections
n
Coordinating responsive and planned maintenance
n
Maintaining accurate tenancy and property records
n
Ensuring compliance with relevant housing legislation and policies
n
Working closely with internal teams, contractors and community stakeholders
n
n
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
n
n
Demonstrated experience in residential tenancy management, community housing, social housing, public housing, or property management
n
Strong working knowledge of the Residential Tenancies Act (RTA legislation knowledge)
n
Experience working within a legislative and compliance-driven workplace
n
Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
n
The ability to build positive relationships with tenants, contractors and stakeholders
n
Strong administration and computer skills
n
A current driver's licence
n
n
Highly Regarded
n
n
Previous community or social housing experience
n
Certificate IV in Social Housing, Community Services or similar qualification
n
Experience supporting vulnerable or disadvantaged communities
n
Knowledge of housing programs, tenancy legislation and property maintenance processes
n
n
