nOur client, Aussie Skip Bin Hire Pty Ltd is looking for an experienced Welder to join their team.n
n
nTasks Include:n
n•Perform MIG, TIG and ARC welding on steel skip bins, truck bodies, trailers and other waste management equipment.n
n•Fabricate new skip bins, steel containers, frames, doors, lids and structural components according to engineering drawings and specifications.n
n•Repair damaged or worn skip bins by cutting, replacing and welding steel plates, reinforcing structural sections and restoring equipment to operational condition.n
n•Interpret technical drawings, measurements and fabrication plans to accurately manufacture and repair metal components.n
n•Operate welding machines, plasma cutters, oxy cutting equipment, grinders, drills and other fabrication tools safely and efficiently.n
n•Inspect welded components to ensure structural integrity, durability and compliance with Australian quality and safety standards.n
n•Grind, smooth and finish welded surfaces to achieve high-quality workmanship.n
n•Assist with the assembly,



modification and installation of steel components used in skip bins, trailers and waste handling equipment.n
n•Carry out preventative maintenance and repairs on workshop equipment, skip bins and related metal structures.n
n•Maintain accurate records of fabrication, repairs and maintenance activities.n
n•Ensure all work is completed in accordance with workplace health and safety procedures.n
n•Work collaboratively with workshop staff to meet production schedules, repair deadlines and customer requirements.n
n
nQualifications and other requirementsn
n
n•Have a Certificate III qualification or higher in
welding/fabricating.n
n•At least 1 year of experience as a welder in the last 5 years, particularly in a manufacturing environment.n
n•Strong attention to detail and the ability to work with precision.n
n•Knowledge of metal properties, welding quality control, and industry standards.n
n•Good physical condition and stamina to work in a fast-paced environment.n
n•Solid safety focus and understanding of relevant health and safety regulations.
