The Opportunity
n
Reporting into senior leadership, you will take full responsibility for the management of facility operations, maintenance services, compliance obligations, and contractor performance across a highly regulated pharmaceutical site.
n
You will lead a multidisciplinary team while ensuring facilities operate safely, efficiently and in compliance with GMP, GxP, pharmaceutical regulations, Australian Standards and client requirements.
n
This role requires a strategic leader who can balance operational excellence, stakeholder engagement, financial accountability and compliance while driving a high-performance culture.

Key Responsibilities
n
Operational Leadership
n
n
Lead the day-to-day delivery of all facility management services
n
Oversee hard and soft services including maintenance, cleaning, grounds, pest management and associated IFM services
n
Ensure critical infrastructure remains operational and compliant at all times
n
Drive service delivery performance and continuous improvement initiatives
n
n
Compliance & Governance
n
n
Ensure compliance with GMP, GxP, Australian Standards and all relevant regulatory requirements
n
Develop, implement and review facility management procedures and SOPs
n
Conduct audits, inspections and risk assessments
n
Maintain a strong safety culture aligned with Equans policies and client expectations
n
n
Asset & Maintenance Management
n
n
Coordinate planned and reactive maintenance activities
n
Oversee HVAC, electrical, plumbing, building systems and critical infrastructure
n
Manage CMMS systems and maintenance programs
n
Drive asset performance, reliability and lifecycle planning
n
n
Leadership & Team Development
n
n
Lead, mentor and develop facility personnel and contractors
n
Foster a culture of accountability, safety and operational excellence
n
Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across the site
n
Develop and manage operational budgets
n
Monitor costs and identify efficiency opportunities
n
Deliver projects and improvement initiatives within budget and timeline requirements
n
n
Project Delivery
n
n
Manage facility upgrades, refurbishments and capital works
n
Coordinate contractors and project teams
n
Ensure projects meet compliance, safety and quality requirement.
n
n
About You
n
You are a proven Facilities Management leader with a strong track record managing complex facilities within pharmaceutical, manufacturing, healthcare, laboratory, biotechnology, or other highly regulated environments.
n
You combine strong technical knowledge with outstanding leadership capability and have a passion for delivering safe, compliant and high-performing facilities.
n
To Be Successful You Will Have:
n
n
Tertiary qualifications in Facilities Management, Engineering, Building Services, Business or a related discipline
n
Minimum 10 years' experience in Facilities Management leadership roles
n
Experience within a highly regulated environments
n
Strong knowledge of GMP, GxP and compliance frameworks
n
Excellent understanding of Australian Standards and facility management best practice
n
Demonstrated experience managing large maintenance and operational budgets
n
Strong contractor and stakeholder management capability
n
Experience using CMMS systems, preferably Maximo
n
Outstanding communication, leadership and problem-solving skills
n
Ability to lead multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
n
Ability to successfully complete a National Police Check
n

Certified Facility Manager (CFM)

Facility Management Professional (FMP)
n
Experience managing pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities
