Wood is currently recruiting a Technical Safety Engineer to join our team in Brisbane.
n
Reporting to the Discipline Lead Engineer, the successful applicant will be part of a busy project team delivering projects for our clients in the Oil & Gas industry.

Responsibilities

Scope of Duties
n
n
Engage in various risk Workshops/ Reviews eg HAZID, HAZOP, Constructability Reviews and incorporate Review findings into design requirements and Safety Case
n
Preparation of workshop Terms of Reference documentation, and workshop reports
n
Perform qualitative and quantitative risk-based studies on new and existing facilities
n
Performing Consequence Modelling using PHAST software
n
FSA Studies development including FERA, NFHA, EERA, ESSA
n
Providing technical input on industry best practices in relation to ALARP requirements, loss prevention codes and standards
n

Qualifications
n
n
What makes you remarkable?

An Engineering degree in a relevant discipline (Chemical/Process, Electrical or Control Systems engineers highly encouraged to apply)
n
Some previous technical safety experience within the oil and gas industry (ideally ~5yrs)
n
RPEQ, or working towards achieving RPEQ status
n
An understanding of Onshore and Offshore Australian Safety Case regulations.
n
Experience in operating DNV PHAST software, DNV Safeti risk software and Flaresim software
n
Ability to provide input into various Risk Reviews
n
Solid report writing skills
n
Excellent communication skills when working with cross-functional teams to provide technical safety related input on projects
n
