nAre you a Project Engineer or Contracts Administrator who wants to get hands-on with design, buildability and project delivery — not just sit behind a desk managing paperwork? CM Group (NSW) Pty Ltd is a well-established subcontractor specialising in internal partitions, ceilings, fit-out packages, and external cladding systems across large-scale commercial construction projects throughout NSW. Working alongside Tier 1 and Tier 2 builders, we deliver multiple project packages typically ranging from $1M to $5M within the Residential, Industrial, Education, Data Centres, Fit Out, Public Space, and Healthcare sectors.n

nDue to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Project Engineer / Contracts Administrator to join our team based in Mascot, NSW.n
n
nThis is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants more than just a desk-based administration role. You will be given the opportunity to run projects end-to-end, build client relationships, develop technical expertise, and grow into a key member of our business.n

nA Role With a Design & Construct Edge, n
nThis isn't just contract administration. You'll be involved in the technical and design side of our projects — reviewing and developing partition, ceiling, soffit and cladding designs, assessing buildability, and finding smarter, more cost-effective ways to build. If you enjoy getting into the detail of how a project comes together — this role is built for you.n

nWhat You'll Be Doing Working closely with the Directors, Senior Management and Project Managers, you will:n
n- Manage projects from contract award through to completionn
n- Review,
assess and develop design solutions for partition, ceiling, soffit and cladding systemsn
n- Assess buildability of designs and propose practical construction methodologiesn
n- Identify value engineering opportunities — alternative products, systems or methods that reduce cost or improve programme without compromising design intentn
n- Review architectural and engineering drawings, identify discrepancies, and coordinate or prepare drawing amendments and shop drawings as requiredn
n- Maintain and update project and contract documentationn
n- Prepare and administer contract variations, extensions of time and contractual correspondencen
n- Monitor project milestones, procurement activities and delivery deadlinesn
n- Measure, quantify and order materialsn
n- Coordinate suppliers, subcontractors and site teamsn
n- Assist with cost control, forecasting and reportingn
n- Liaise with builders, consultants and client representativesn
n- Attend project meetings and provide technical support to stakeholdersn
n- Assist with tender preparation and pricing submissionsn
n- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, company procedures and relevant legislationn
n- Support junior team members with technical and project-related queriesn

nWhat We're Looking Forn
n- Minimum 3 years' experience as a Contracts Administrator, Project Engineer or similar role within the construction industryn
n- A Relevant Diploma or higher qualification in construction management, project management, contract management or a related field.n
n- Experience working for a subcontractor, builder or specialist contractorn
n- Experience with commercial construction projectsn
n- Experience reading and interpreting construction drawings and specificationsn
n- Strong organizational skills and attention to detailn
n- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skillsn
n- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneouslyn
n- Strong commercial awareness and problem-solving skillsn
n- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environmentn
n

n- Experience preparing tenders and pricing variationsn
n- Experience reading and interpreting BASIX, Acoustics, Section J, and other technical reportsn
