Job Description
About the position: n
St Ives Dental Group is looking for a friendly, enthusiastic and reliable Dental Assistant to join our team on a casual basis.
n
We're a welcoming, supportive team in a modern general dentistry practice, committed to providing great patient care and creating a positive experience for everyone who walks through our doors.

This is a hands-on role where you'll work closely with our dentists and wider team across a variety of general dental procedures. No two days are exactly the same, so it's a great opportunity to keep building your skills, broaden your dental knowledge and be part of a team that genuinely enjoys working together.
Key Responsibilities: n
n
Patient Care: Assist with patient management, including greeting patients, preparing them for procedures, and ensuring their comfort.
n
Clinical Support: Prepare and sterilise dental instruments, assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, and maintain a clean and organised treatment area.
n
Inventory Management: Monitor dental supplies levels, ensuring the treatment room is well-stocked and organised.
n
Patient Education: Provide patients with post-operative care instructions and educate them about oral hygiene and preventive care.
n
Team Collaboration: Work closely with dentists, hygienists, and other staff to ensure a smooth workflow and positive patient experience.
n
Compliance: Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols, as well as regulatory requirements in the dental practice.

What do you need to succeed: n
n
Prior experience as a Dental Assistant is essential
n
A Cert III or IV in Dental Assisting is beneficial but not mandatory
n
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
n
Ability to multitask, prioritise tasks, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
n
Capability to address patient concerns and resolve issues with professionalism and empathyAttention to detail
