About the role
A large international mining organisation is seeking a
Senior Accountant
on an initial 3 month basis with the potential for extension or a permanent transition.
The business is in an extremely strong cashflow position and operates high-quality assets in numerous locations.
Key responsibilities
Managing the month end process for a significant entity
Support with the preparation and lodgement of tax compliance in partnership with external advisors
Assist with annual reporting and year-end close
Key liaison for internal audit requests and queries
Contribute towards process improvement initiatives
What we're looking for
CPA/CA qualification with strong financial accounting experience. Experience in Mining & Resources sector is highly advantageous but not essential
Experience in a medium-large business framework using ERP systems
Robust analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to manage complex issues
Candidates that are immediately available and prepared to work 5 days on-site
