Craig Burgess Motor Group is looking for an experienced Pre-Delivery & Used Car Reconditioning Manager to take charge of a busy and important part of our dealership operation.
n
This isn't a role where you'll spend your day sitting behind a desk. We need someone who enjoys being in the middle of the action, running the workshop, managing the team, solving problems and making sure vehicles are ready when our customers need them.
n
You'll have responsibility for both new vehicle pre-delivery and our Used Car Reconditioning Team, giving you genuine ownership of the vehicle preparation process from start to finish.
n

What you'll be taking ownership of
n
You'll lead the day-to-day Pre-Delivery and Used Car Reconditioning operation, working closely with our Sales, Service and Parts teams to keep vehicles moving.
n
Your role will include:
n
Leading and managing the Pre-Delivery and Used Car Reconditioning teams
n
Planning the daily workload around vehicle deliveries and sales priorities
n
Managing used vehicles through the reconditioning process so they're front-line ready as quickly as possible
n
Working directly with Sales Managers to prioritise urgent vehicles
n
Allocating work to technicians and monitoring productivity and efficiency
n
Raising, costing and closing repair orders
n
Managing internal, policy and departmental repair orders
n
Coordinating repairs, parts, recalls and manufacturer campaigns
n




Keeping on top of back-ordered parts and outstanding work
n
Managing workshop consumables and purchase orders
n
Completing daily reporting and actioning anything holding vehicles up
n
Maintaining high standards across quality, presentation and workshop safety
n
Building a team culture focused on accountability, urgency and getting the job done

Who we're looking for
n
Dealership experience is a must.
n
We're looking for someone who already understands how a busy automotive operation works. You'll ideally have experience in Pre-Delivery, Used Car Reconditioning, Workshop Management or a similar dealership leadership role.
n
You'll be someone who can walk into the department, understand what's happening and quickly work out what needs to happen next.
n
You'll also bring strong people leadership, solid workshop and repair-order knowledge, excellent organisation and the confidence to work with Sales Managers and other department leaders.
n
Most importantly, you're someone who takes ownership. When there's a problem, you don't wait for someone else to fix it, you find a solution and keep things moving.
n
A current Australian driver's licence is required.
